Tujuan : - Mengamati sifat – sifat larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit
- Membedakan larutan elektrolit lemah dan kuat

II. Pengantar Percobaan
Larutan elektrolit adalah larutan yang dapat menghantarkan listrik Larutan non elektrolit adalah larutan yang tidak dapat menghantarkan arus listrik. Larutan elektrolit dapat menghantarkan listrik karena dalam larutannya terdapat ion – ion terlarut yang bermuatan positif dan negatif, sedangakan pada larutan non elektrolit terdapat ion – ion terlarut. Contoh larutan elektrolit adalah HCl, NaCl dan asam cuka, sedangkan contoh larutan nonelektrolit adalah larutan gula
III. Langkah Percobaan
1. Siapkan 4 buah gelas beker 100 ml (gunakan secara bergantian), lalu isi dengan larutan masing – masing gelas 50 ml larutan :
- Gelas beker 1 : Air (aquades )
- Gelas Beker 2 : Etanol (alkohol)
- Gelas Beker 3 : Larutan gula (sukrosa)
- Gelas Beker 4 : Larutan HCl 0,1 M
- Gelas Beker 5 : larutan NaOH 0,1 M
- Gelas Beker 6 : Larutan CH3COOH 0,1 M
- Gelas Beker 7 : Larutan NH4OH 0,1 M
- Gelas Beker 8 : Larutan NaCl 0,1 M
2. Uji setiap Larutan dalam gelas beker dengan alat uji elektrolit
3. Setiap melakukan pengujian elektroda dibersihkan dengan cara diamplas bagian elektroda yang mengenai larutan.
